an artistic overview.
My name is Violeta. When I was in middle school around 2016, I got hold of a copy of FL Studio through dubious circumstances. Ever since, I've been producing electronic music on and off. I've made house, ambient, vaporwave, techno, drum and bass, speedcore, noise, and the list will certainly grow longer.
I like to call myself an artist. Of course, this is a very overloaded term, complicated by all sorts of preconceptions. For me, art is just a way to express human traits through some medium, be these emotions or circumstances where maybe words simply aren't as effective. This doesn't mean I view myself as some sort of master, or part of an elite engaging in the select prestigious artistic forms. I'm just honest with what I make, and that's good enough.
And in that sense, viiii is first and foremost an artistic endeavor, a channel for my desire for self-expression, and an excuse to throw the result out into the world. This has been a large investment, but it has been immensely fulfilling. I hope you enjoy the ride as well.
